For this design, a little went a long way. We painted a Navy blue stripe to establish a focal wall and added colorful accent pillows that brought in brightness and comfort.
Before
Noticing the distress and color of the floor, we wanted to make decisions that ensured each guest felt welcome and comfortable.
Although this is an ‘old school’ sliding-door mirror, mirrors can actually make a room appear larger than it is. So this was a plus for us!
Design Board
The ultimate vision for this room was to brighten it up and add some character.
After
We added in a large area rug and pulled it far up underneath the bed. We intentionally positioned the rug this way so when guests get out of bed, their feet don’t hit the cold concrete floor.
We took inspiration from the rug and selected colorful throws to brighten brighten brighten! Because ‘industrial’ styles can lean more toward the masculine side, we added in light feminine touches that provided a nice balance.
